Beginning Photoshop
STEVE ATTIG PPA CERTIFIED
 CR.PHOTOG.

Segment 2 Intermediate to Advanced Level Only
Class Limit 15 Students

Now you want to become a Photoshop shark! This only happens when you're no longer
scared of any image. You want to open an image in Photoshop and immediately know
which adjustment to use, when to use it, which settings to use, and how to take your
photos from flat to fabulous in no time.
This segment is for the ones who have gotten past the beginner stages and conquered
most of the intermediate tasks. You will learn through methodology, with its simplicity
and repetition, how to make a decent photo better, a good photo great, and a great photo
outrageous. Steve will give you a detailed plan and help you get the results you've always
wanted from your photography and Photoshop.
Highlights of the class exercises include: working with Adobe's Camera Raw processor,
curve adjustments, shadow/highlights, painting with light, channels adjustment, layer
blend modes and layer masks, sharpening techniques, as well as some of the other
techniques you once used but forgot!
Students will be provided images for class assignments, but are encouraged to bring some
of their “rejects”. Those are the images that your clients have never seen! Those with
poor exposures that they may have ordered a wall portrait if you showed them and you
were “scared” of the image.
Students should bring their own laptop or tower, PC or Mac, a monitor, a mouse and/or
graphics tablet, and keyboard. You must have Adobe Photoshop CS3 loaded on your
computer before arriving for any Photoshop classes.
