This class will be about expanding your creative limits or more
like discovering that there are no limits to your creative abilities.
Better looked at like a creative revival! There will be
discussions on life, energy, and living a happier life and how translates
into running a better studio and creating better images for your clients.
You will be asked to bring up to four images (in digital form on a flash
drive or bring your laptops) and may be sent out on an assignment to
shoot. There will be a senior safari lead by Mark and a family safari by
John. We will critique your work, with an honesty that may seem harsh, but
will allow you to grow. You will be forced to look at our work (critiquing
of our work is optional). There will be demonstrations and talk
designed to help you avoid the problems that plague you. You’ll be nagged
into improving your images. There won’t be enough time to do all the
shooting, editing, critiquing, talking, and looking at our work that
you’ll want to do. You will be overwhelmed.
This workshop is not about using a computer to manipulate your images.
It’s about how to look for, see, and evaluate your images. It’s about
finding the style that is all yours and learning how to express it. It is
most certainly not about Photoshop, which we may or may not not discuss.
You will end up a better photographer, if not a better human being.
